Iris Coates
7 Waves Board member Iris Coates is the local Labour Councilor for Leasowe and Moreton East. Iris was the first Board member and has encouraged and supported the 7 Waves concept from the very early day's and is working hard with staff and fellow Board members in helping the station to move on to the next stage of becoming a 24 hour broadcasting station. Iris is interested in all aspects of the Arts and takes Fine Art into the community by holding weekly Art classes in the local Community Centre's.  Iris has been the ward Councilor in Leasowe for nearly 10 years now and holds weekly surgeries for residents as well as representing local people on many committees.

Paul Smith aka Stewart- Head of Programme Schedules
Paul started in radio back in the 1980’s and worked for both BBC local Radio and Independent Local Radio in the North West.

He was a main radio presenter with The Marcher Sound Group working on Marcher Gold, MFM, and Marcher Coast FM in the 1990’s. Paul then went on to teach Media Studies in 1997 with Wirral Metropolitan College and developed a radio Production course and became the co founder of the 7 Waves Community Radio Project in May 2001.

In 2003 Paul became involved in the project as lead tutor and has been programme controller since day one. The launch of 7 Waves Community Radio as a full time community radio station for the Wirral has been a lifelong ambition.
